Focus on Film Award 2008
Focus on Film from The National Archives and SEGfL has been awarded first prize in the Focal International Awards 2008 held in London on 21st May.

The award celebrates the use of archival footage and images in creative media in the category 'Best Use of Footage on Non-television Platforms'. Film Australia's education website and the BFI Mediatheque Centre were runners-up. The judges described Focus on Film as "having a clear purpose which it successfully delivers. The Editor's Room tool is...just superb".

Focus on Film is a free NEN resource and contains an introduction to the use of film as evidence for the past; new ?lesson ready? teaching resources for Key Stage 3 and 4; an expanded archive of over 150 clips; and an astonishing online editing tool so students can create and save their own film edits.
