Science Flashmeeting Project

This case study demonstrates how teachers and pupils can easily use web based technologies to research, gather and share information. Year 5 and 6 pupils from two Ashford Primary schools, Brook Primary School and Ashford Oaks Primary School, used web conferencing, blogging and online publishing to communicate their ideas and develop their knowledge and understanding of important scientific ideas, processes and skills. The pupils then shared their learning by publishing their results on the Making the News website and completed the project by taking part in a forty-five minute FlashMeeting conference.
