Digital Video - A Primary School Perspective
Jan/
2000

In 2003 the SEGfL supported several innovative projects throughout the region, one of which was to encourage pupils and their teachers in a Hampshire junior school to use digital video over broadband. The project enabled them to realise their desire to reveal their school and its relationship with its wider community, in a way that is simply not possible in print.
The storyboarding and filming was undertaken by Y6 pupils and their teachers using a Canon MV550i camera. They went on to begin the editing process using an early version of Windows Moviemaker but needed help with the final production. Technical support was provided by using an Adobe Premier 'expert' who was able to realise the film-makers plans.
The finished version is available from the link below.
