Curriculum resources via GIS
The March 2006 GIS conference held in Crawley West Sussex cellebrated a wide range of curriculum projects.

Reports, presentation downloads and resources are available in our 'Mapping' section.

The future's visual. And it's full of information.
The microsite sets out some details of how software can help by putting data - whether it's words, numbers, pictures, sound, video or other resources - onto maps and photographs, and making it available online.

The shorthand for software of this kind is GI (for Geographical Information systems) though curriculum geography is only one of its many uses.

Our pages give a flavour of how GI can be used, the links already possible between software on the market and information gathered by learners, teachers and authorities. Beyond that are other interesting ways forward, including the dynamic linking of mobile phones to mapping tools.
