Becta ICT excellence awards
The ICT Excellence Awards aim to identify and reward whole school excellence in ICT. Categories for schools
They look for schools across the whole of the UK approaching ICT in outstanding and innovative ways. The categories reflect the elements of the self-review framework and are there to reward excellence in a particular field.
The categories, open to both primary and secondary sectors, are Assessment, Curriculum, Extending Learning Opportunities, Inclusion, Leadership and Management, Learning and Teaching, and Best Whole School.
Winning schools will receive prize money of up to ?6000, as well as opportunities to share their excellent practice with others.

In addition to the above is the Support for Schools category which aims to reward those organisations who support school improvement with ICT, encouraging the systematic and innovative use of appropriate technologies to deliver learning and teaching, communicate with the wider school community and improve administrative efficiency.
The winners of the award will be given the opportunity to share their excellent practice with other local authorities and organisations across the UK.
Becta are keen to encourage local authorities and other organisations supporting school improvement with ICT to consider applying for this award.
