Operation Storm Warning
Schools in Kent have teamed up with pupils around the globe to share weather information online.
At the heart of the project is a SEGfL microsite - a simple to use publishing and sharing area.
Phil Bracegirdle - ICT ASK "Hands on Support" Consultant and colleagues have invited in experts to develop a set of activities that challenge young people to reasearch and learn about the weather and take part in an exciting weather disaster simulation entitled Operation Storm Warning.
The microsite has been designed to allow schools anywhere in the region to emulate the projects and tailor the support materials to suit local conditions and sources of expertise.
Schools and Partnerships can use the resources listed on the site to plan their own "Operation Storm Warning" activity.
The list contains all the files and "How To" sheets to get you started.
Be creative! Why not adapt the resources to match the conditions found in snow covered highland areas or a desert environment?
If you do please contact us. We would be delighted to publish your project work on this micro-site.
