English Civil Wars
A new National Archives videoconference workshop for year 8 pupils, led by historical interpreters, where the students are given the chance to debate the causes of the civil wars based on actual documents from that time. Students will be interviewing Bishop Richard Hyde and the Puritan Adam Wright in order to determine why religion was such an important cause of the Civil War. The characters would present their views on recent developments within the Church of England and other events from the period of Charles? Personal Rule.
