Compiled by Marshall Mateer for the 60th anniversary of the United Nations Organisation following the 2005 World Summit which was attended by over 180 nations.
United Nations Day is celebrated on 24 October each year.
There are dozens of stories about or including the UNO in the British Pathe Archive. The downloadable worksheet provides key selections. References and links will also be found to the UN Educational website and access to the vast UN photo library of images which may be used in school.
