Supporting New Arrivals
The notion of the project is to offer a hand-holding service for new arrival learners and their families. There are currently 3 lead authorities who have shown interest in being involved - East Sussex, Hampshire and Wokingham. One outcome from this project has been the production of an A5 booklet for parents that provides answers to 20 of the most frequently asked questions. Produced in English initially by Wokingham Borough Council, it is now being translated into a number of other languages.
